This Mum Wants Fun In The Sun

I don’t think it matters where in the UK you live you will have no doubt experienced some of the white fluffiness aka snow in the last month. Even today we are still getting the flurry of snow. I am sure I am not alone in losing interest in the snow. It was once an exciting rarity, it is now a too frequent inconvenience.

Its wet, cold, disruptive, prevents me getting to work or makes my journey twice as long, its even colder when you have to spend a week with no boiler as I have recently done.  In addition there is the pale skin, the chapped lips, the dry cuticles. I am convinced that if I lived in a warmer climate I would be a yummy mummy.

I NEED SUN.

Everything looks so much better in the sun, people are happier, look healthier and you can evict the kids to the garden.

When it is so cold that you cant feel your toes (an every day experience for me at the minute) there is only one thing to do….. Get the holiday brochures out. Whether you are planning to actually go on holiday or not this will make you feel warm and relaxed. There is something about looking through a brochure of crystal blue sea and golden sand that cant help make you smile, deciding which holiday you may book or remembering the last holiday you had it is bound to get you thinking of the warmer weather. Of trampolines, paddling pools and cocktails.

Whether you dream of holidays in Greece or holidays in Spain, there is something about looking through a brochure of crystal blue sea and golden sand that cant help make you smile, deciding which holiday you may book or remembering the last holiday you had it is bound to get you thinking of the warmer weather. Of trampolines, paddling pools and cocktails.

Sadly this year we are unlikely to be jetting off anywhere hot. Instead we will be saving for a special holiday. This Christmas we hope to take Snaffles for his first experience of Disney Land Paris, he will be a few months short of 4 and hopefully old enough to enjoy the experience and recognise a lot of the characters we are likely to meet.

Next time you are cold and tired why not fill a bath with bubbles and get out a holiday brochure, you will soon be remembering or dreaming of warm lazy days.

What are your best holiday memories or do you have a summer holiday to look forward to this year to make new memories?

  4. Having holidays with friends and family is really great idea to be warm but sometimes it's tough to decide the desired place and I do agree with you that holiday brochures is really great way to have relaxation and comfort for choosing desired place.
