This weeks gallery is “still life”.
As soon as I saw the theme I instantly thought of some stunning photographs I saw on a blog called Journey of the Mocha Bean(s) and Mummy.
Inspired to dig out my camera and attempt some other similarly creative photos off I went in search of a suitably photo worthy object.
I am lucky enough to have recently been lent a sewing machine. It is very old, very vintage and I am very in love with it.
No longer do I crave an all singing, all dancing new machine with fancy stitch patterns. Instead I now crave a long serving, well loved machine, scared with the markings of its creations.
How could I not want to own something as beautiful as this?

Oh wow! My mum was a seamstress with a Singer machine when I was a little girl; I loved the shapes and curves of the machines she used and this brought back some memories!
Fantastic photos and what a gorgeous machine! I'm so pleased to have been able to inspire you, and thank you so much for the mention :D
xxxx
My 1st sewing machine was a green singer exact same style that my nan gave me, I loved it I used to make my dolls clothes, thanks for the nostalgia kick xxx
looks just like mine!! You will totally love it!
What a beautiful machine, my mum had one very similar. Love the images too
I love those machines! So much more beautiful than the functional white plastc I have. Why doesn't function meet form like this any more?
This takes me back to my school days!Really unusual idea!
My parents have one of these that I think belonged to my grandmother, they really are not just functional, but objects of beauty too. So much nicer than a modern machine.
