Dear So & So - The Cybermummy Edition

Dear Huggies

A huge huge thanks for sponsoring me to attend. It would not have been possible for me to go without you and I had an amazing day.

Yours Gratefully,
A Huggies Mummy

Dear Bloggers

It was fantastic to meet so many of you, to put names and voices to faces and to generally have a fab catchup. However, I want to say an even bigger thank you to a particular few (hopefully you know who you are) for taking time out of their days to introduce me to bloggers who they knew and to include and welcome me into groups of friends and bloggers who had already met each other several times before and formed their own bonds. It made my day a lot less daunting.

Yours

Dear Cybermummy Blogger Speakers,

Well done. You provided great sessions. I found sessions run by bloggers the most informative and inspiring. It seems some other speakers, despite speaking at a blogging conference were still a little confused as to what blogging actually is.

Yours Gratefully

Dear Venue

I have always wanted to eat food out of a cardboard takeaway carton. I quite enjoyed this novelty. (although I am not sure that sausages are the food I dreamed I would be eating from them).

However, I must say I found it more than a little annoying that you would not serve me a hot drink whilst workshops were in session. As far as I am aware attending the workshops was not compulsory. I would not have minded the lack of tea so much if it wasn't for the fact that alcohol continued to be freely available during the workshop sessions. As a breastfeeding mother I was more than a little miffed that others could drink alcohol but I could not drink tea?!

Yours,

Dear Proctor & Gamble recharge room.

Your room was fab and you were amazing. Bringing a nursing mum a drink while shes feeding means a whole lot more than you know. You proved that its the little things that count.

Dear Munchie

Thank you for being so well behaved. I don't even mind that my first job upon arriving at the venue was to remove and bin an entire poo soaked outfit from you.

Yours,
Mummy

Dear Mr C & Snaffles

Thank you so so much for making this weekend possible. For coming to keep me company. For stopping me getting lost and for escorting me to and from Cybermummy. Thank you for knowing that I would not have gone had you not have come with me. For knowing that I would have missed you too much to do something for myself.

I love you to the moon and back.

Dear Me

Well done. You went, you met people, you took an 8 week baby and you survived and people even thought you looked well.

Yours,
Your inner voice who knows you need to hear this sometimes.

  1. On of my biggest disappointments about Cybermummy is that I didn't catch you for more of a chat but am glad that we got a quick hello. There just didn't seem enough time.
I completely agree about the drinks, I was really annoyed I couldn't get a cuppa. Crazy
I should have spent more time in the recharge room and wish I'd had my hair done.

  3. @Mummy Limited

I know, me too. Although I suspect if we had talked longer we would soon end up venting at how hard having 2 is.
Hair would have been lovely but these small people would have had somehting to say about it!

  7. I was miffed about the lack of tea too. Mostly because I had such an empty stomach that if I had drank a glass of wine I would have curled up into a corner and passed out.
