It's about time I got my Christmas dinner menu planned and organised.
I have my Christmas online shopping slot booked but so far I have no idea what I need to order.
It is Munchie's first Christmas. I am so excited about his first Christmas dinner. It is just the four of us for dinner this year so less time cooking means more time with my boys. However I still want a nice festive feast.
One course or three? What to make for each course and what side dishes to have with the turkey? What non turkey option to buy or make for me?
What are you having for your Christmas dinner? Can you inspire me?

To be able to spend more time with the kids we spread our Christmas dinner over the day, so we have our Starter about 12/1pm then we'll have our main course about 4pm/5pm and then dessert comes later 7/8pm, this means I'm not stuck to the stove for hours to then sit down for the whole thing and we can have a rest between courses and enjoy what we are eating and of course the kids get to play with their now toys, have a nap and relax watching xmas telly, (and me too)
We will be having:
Celeriac soup with scallops and black pudding
Beef wellington
Roast potatoes
Sprouts with chestnuts and bacon
Parsnips with parmesan
Home made Christmas pudding with vanilla custard and clotted cream
this is after a smoked salmon / scrambled egg / champagne breakfast
Like Cara's idea of spreading courses out. This will help me stick to baby girl's routine.
ps turkey sucks...especially if there's only four of you. You'll be eating it come july!
