The Grand Total - The Poppy Appeal

After my earlier post about how my tiny little thought to crochet a few poppies soon turned into a much bigger project, I thought I would update you on the final result.

People continued to support my efforts. Colleagues reported back that total strangers had been enquiring as to where they got their poppy and a very lovely friend picked up her hook and helped me with the orders.

We made one final push yesterday and baked Pretzels and Muffins to sell at work. The partners at work also made a kind donation and topped the fund raising efforts up a little bit more.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who had supported me and to Mr C for tolerating my constant crochet. I must write the pattern down and store it somewhere safe for next year. I must also remember to start earlier next year too.

The final total stands at £315.00. I am thrilled at how much people have supported this and very proud  (if a little shocked) of the amount raised.

A special thanks to Stork for the margarine and Tesco for the Bread Flour used for the baking.
