52 Weeks Of Granny - Week 5

I had a super busy week last week. Visiting special friends, spa days and Snaffles turned 7. This all meant very little time for crochet.

I did manage one square quite early in the week.

However, as much as I love being busy, I don't cope well with a lack of crochet time. I get over come with an urge to have wool in my hands.

So, as the weekend drew closer I found myself pondering over a crochet book from the library (Little Crochet by Linda Permann) and then indulging in a trip to the wool shop.

A combination of spectating at swimming lessons, a girls night in and a child free morning cumulated in this being made. It is the swing set cardigan from the previously mentioned book.

No, I do not have an important announcement to make. There are a few colleagues expecting babies in the spring so I am trying to get something made for each of them.

This was a beautiful pattern to work with. It hooks up really well. This is made in Rico baby DK in Fuchia.

I suspect the next few weeks will see a balance of granny squares and baby items.

  1. Lovely cardigan! And I hear you about hook withdrawal ;). I get that way too.

  2. I have just started learning crochet and have been practicing basic stitches over the past few weeks- I have another course booked in Feb to learn granny squares and colour changes etc- I cant wait. I love your little cardi it looks so professional :)

  3. I love this little cardigan so cute :)
