Summer Reading Recommendations

With all of this glorious warm weather my urge to crochet seems to have dipped a little (only a little mind you) and has left me with lots of time to sit and enjoy some new books.  (I am incapable of sitting still, much to the annoyance of my husband). Lazy afternoons and evenings in the garden with a good book make for the perfect summer reading time. There will be plenty of time for crochet in the winter.
After going through a stage where I could not find any books to WOW me any more I seem to have found my book reading mojo again.
I seem to by flying through some fantastic books recently and thought I would share some of them with you.
I read on my Kindle and I am rather tight. If I can buy an actual book for less then I refuse to pay more for a Kindle version. I tend to limit by Kindle purchases to under £4.00.
I thought I would share my summer reading recommendations with you. I do not hold an English Literature degree and I can not vouch for the standard of writing. They are simply great books with good stories which I have enjoyed.

A lovely tale of a girl looking to cleanse her life post separation and limit her new life to only 100 truly amazing objects. It certainly makes you stop and think why you surround yourselves with some of the objects you do.

I really fell for this book. 28 ½ things a young girl wishes to achieve before her vision of herself dying comes true.  What is even better is that this book is FREE on Kindle.

d├ębut book from blogger Emily Organ. George knows when he will die but does not know how. As that day arrives will he have the chance to make amends with the people he loves?  A bargain at £1.75 at the minute.

A harrowing tale of a wife and mother trying to escape her husband/father of her children and the extremes she has to go to in order to achieve this.

Other books I have enjoyed, to a lesser degree recently are Finding Emma and The Secret Supper Club. Both great books but they just did not capture me the ways the others did.

Unfortunately you cant love every book and a few that did leave me feeling a little lacking in love for them are The Accident Perfect Little Girl Lost and Cry Baby.

I am looking forward to discovering more new and exciting books during August.

I hope to get around to reading a selection of the following;

The Fault In Our Stars
Reconstructing Amelia
Beautiful Oblivion
Finding You
Twenty Nine & A Half Reasons
Little Mercies
Left Neglected
Still Alice

Hopefully they will be so good that I will again feel the need to share them with you too.

What books are on your list to read and which books have you enjoyed recently? I am always looking to add to my Kindle wish list.
